Scouting With My Dad

Hey My Peeps
    How do you feel when you scout  or you do an activity with your parents? I do every Tuesday ,me and my dad does scouting together.It is okay at times but it is mostly time getting to know my dad better. We have done a lot of scouting together since the age of 5. We have been hiking and even went to Cub Adventure Camp each year together. Ask me  if it can be hard, yes because sometimes he gets on me to do things perfect and I don't know why. I guess that is what parents do and want from their children. what do you think? I do look forward to scouting with my dad and learning new things with him. It has been great! I think that it is cool to have a father and son time.I hope that you spend time with your dad or parent.

Merit Badges....

Hey Everyone in Simeon's World

       Now that I am  a Boy Scout  things are much different. Before I would work with my leader in my book but now I have to set up an appointment to meet with my counselor and then work on the items in my books. It is a little getting used to but I am trying. I really like scouting and all that we do but it is hard work. I am happy that I have my parents to support me.  Well today I meet with my couselor so very soon. Wish me luck everyone..

Why I Scout/ New Troop

In February 2011, I crossed over to Boy Scouts after earning my Arrow of Light at cub scouts. I am now a part of Troop#169. My first day at the troop, I was welcomed  nicely by everyone. Some people had some jokes, some ask how I am doing  and what was your other troop like. It was nice to be welcomed. After two weeks of being a scout at troop #169 now it was time to get to work and and start my community service of Scouting for Food.  Scouting For Food is when you put bags on people doors and a week later we pick the bags up with food or clothing in it. First we had to tie up the bags so it would be easier. Next we had to chose our partners so I had two of my friends who went over with me. It was very long day but we did it. As we finish the first part of our community service we were all happy and now it was on to next week to pick the bags up. There were not alot of people who gave this year but it was OK, we will do it next year. But even with  the short work it was hard at first but when the two weeks were finish, I knew I was helping people less fortunate than me.

After our community service it was time for me to do my first hike for my merit badge. Merit badges are badges that help you to move up in rankings and it can teach you things and at last it's just fun. Anway's we had to do a 10 mile hike ,Yikes right ! But I was prepared like I'm always. Lucky for me it was warm and we wasn't on a rough trail. But even though I wasn't on a rough trail my feet was killing me. The troop had tons of rest breaks that I couldn't even name it. On the way to the trail we saw a herd of deers  it was so cool  that we took a  picture of them. After a while it started to get creepy when they were staring at us so we left . Then came the dog that was of it's leash and and in a yard , so we had to walk slower than a turtle so it wouldn't chase after us. A few minutes later we were at a rest area which was the five mile mark. There we ate, talked, and rested our feet because we had five more miles to go. The rest of the miles were easier but I was glad to be in the car after the hike was over. But guess what I still have 40 more miles  to go ,starting at 10miles next time :).

Another Day In My World

Hey all my followers out there!!
 This is Simi talking about my world again.  Thank you for following me on my blog I really appreciate it. Special thanks to my 5th grade teacher Ms. M for being one of my first followers. Ms. M you are cool to. For those who just followed me, welcome to my world and make sure to get other people hooked on 2 my blog ( Simeon's World).

 Anyway's, I can't believe most of my school friends forgot it was group picture day, I didn't. I was looking cool today( smiles).We talked about picture day yesterday but most of everyone was just talking and not really listening , I guess? Today in gym was it CRAZY or not!  Did u see the bloody nose that Jacob got, I hope that he is alright. The weather today was better than yesterday. OK, back to me did you guys see my music video I put out there ( Cat Daddy) it's of the hook right?  If it is not to u then r u kidding me (LOL).Do you know how to do the CatDaddy?  Oh by the way don't forget April 30th is tween night at the YMCA. Speaking of schools did anybody get into Athena because I am really close. What are your thoughts about the school that you are going to? Also make sure to give to the gently use book sale at school. It raises money for the school to buy more books.

This has been my day. I am looking forward to friday. SPRING BREAK OFFICIALLY begins.. OH YEAH!!!

My World...

Hey My peeps

        How are you all doing? This is your boy Simeon known to some as Simi. Welcome to my world where you get to see me write about my everyday adventures in school, at scouting , at home and everywhere that I lay my feet. I am a 5th grader who is about to graduate and go on to middle school. Yay!! I am looking forward to that. I feel so great. Up on another level for more freedom (LOL).
  In school we are doing a art project for mother's day and I hope you know what u are getting for your mom. Because they are real special . Anyway we are taking our 5thgrade group picture tomorrow to be recognized for when we graduate which I can't wait because it's really getting boring in the classroom. Like who wants to take back to back test's on something we learned before. Also, I can't wait till the warm weather comes because we stay in the Cold up in the upstate area.  I wish it could just stay in the 70's all year long.This was my world today hopefully it will better tomorrow.
